H&M x Versace

So this happens to be the best news since H&M‘s collaboration with Roberto Cavalli! Donnatella Versace has been working with H&M Creative Advisor Margareta Van Dan Bosch on a brilliant Fall collaboration that will debut November 17th 2011. The Fall collection designed by, Donnatella herself, will include Men and Womenswear along with home interior. Margereta Van Dan Bosch released a statement about the collaboration: “Versace is one of the most important brands of recent times, and their collection for H&M will be glamorous and flamboyant – everything Versace stands for Donnatella Versace is sharing with us iconic designs from the archives. This is such a celebratory collaboration and it is perfect for the party season. ”  Be sure to count the days before the greatly anticipated release.

“Belle Vere” Vogue Italia – Photography: Steven Meisel (NSFW)

The next issue of Vogue Italia will be featuring three plus size models on the cover with the title “Belle Vere” which means Truly Beautiful Women. This cover along with its title is both controversial and refreshing with a spread of vintage, topless shots which accentuates the plus size beauties. Legendary photographer Steven Meisel captured each model in a way you can only be mesmerised instead of criticizing. View the rest of the shoot here.

Marchesa for Playboy

If the life of a Playboy bunny wasn’t bouncy enough, its gotten even better. Recently at the new The Cottontail Lounge-Playboy Club  London a runway of Bunnies modeled the latest bunny looks with the one very special lace, beaded, black corset outfit by the finest designer duo Marchesa. The opening of the new lounge was very live and reminiscent of Playboy‘s golden days. Check out photos of the celebration, including Marchesa‘s very own Bunny design.

Chanel Cruise 2011/2012 “The Tale of a Fiary” – Karl Lagerfield

The Chanel Cruise collection embodied a story of it’s own but Karl Lagerfield wouldn’t be him if he stopped just there. Mr. Lagerfield showcased a short film titled  “The tale of a Fairy” which took place in a mansion on the French Riviera starring the iconic Kristen McMenamy and Lady Amanda Harlech along with Freja Beha Erichsen, Chanel’s spokesperson who plays the fairy. The next film you can expect from head designer Karl Lagerfield will be titiled “La dolce Vita”.

The U.S. Court System vs. Time Warner and The People

A U.S. court judge has laid down a verdict relevant to all of those who have decided to download your favorite movies for simple viewing pleasure. The U.S. District Judge in Washington has ordered Time Warner to release nearly a thousand subscribers of their broadband network, who have downloaded movies illegally.

Time Warner is currently resisting the court order, which the company states involves “unfairly expensive and time-consuming [effort]”, on their end. There are bootleggers allowed to scour the trains, streets, and work areas but this order is attacking the average joe, who at most has downloaded 10-20 movies. School In 20th Century Russia

“Hey, teacher leave those kids alone!”, seems like a battle cry for the youth against the regime and a lot of us at one time or another could relate. The images of this 20th Century school in the Ukraine, may ignite memories of Bel-Air academy, and the Biology lab signals thoughts from the Harry Potter series. I highly doubt Hogwarts and the Fresh Prince will ever collide but their learning institutions are still superior to many of our own.
